Central Pacific Coast’s Cielo Vista Project Surpassing Expectations

Four months into the earth moving stage of the Cielo Vista Project, the terraces are within one inch to the final grade. The project, located on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, includes 75 terraces which will provide the foundation for the future 400 single and multi-family home sites Yurving Lopez, owner of Maquinaria KYLCSA, is on site daily supervising his team of well equipped professionals.

The project’s lucrative real estate covers 89 acres and is “solid, 100 percent reliable,” Yurwig affirms. He smiles broadly as he surveys the work from the highest altitude. Both the mountain and ocean views are undeniably gorgeous.

The levelling of the terraces at the highest pointThe area is considered to be a sensitive zone, due to the amount of rainfall received during Costa Rica’s winter or “green season,” which has just begun. The rain pipe, or pluvial system in place has been tested during the first heavy rains of the year.

Architect Doug Valerio explains that the tarps (see photos) protect the slopes so that the rain passes over the terraces. “Rain boxes” collect the water which eventually is carried to the river.

Environmentally Sound

The design of the sewage system that will be implemented includes two treatment plants, ensuring that the Cielo Vista project will not have any negative impact on the environment. Cielo Vista will also have its own water source from four wells, eliminating the need of having to secure water from the surrounding communities of Herradura and Jaco.

Next Steps

After the termination of both the drainage and sewage systems comes the laying of pipes for drinking water. Then comes the electrical work including telecommunications with fiber optics. When this is completed, the last step of the infrastructure will be the construction of roads.

The construction of roads will begin simultaneously with sales. Charles Boyd, CEO of The Costa Rica Team, says “We expect to have an official release date sometime this month for sales of the many home sites available to the public.”

The $150 million ocean view master planned development is just one hour away from the country’s capital and airport, and just minutes away from spectacular beaches, diverse restaurants and shops. In addition to the 400 single and multi-family homes, there will be a fully staffed assisted medical facility, Cielo Med.
