Community and Family Values Connect Jaco Walk Business Owners

Jaco Walk is quite the talk of the town lately. The new shopping center defies traditional style with an innovative, creative layout. Located in the center of Playa Jaco leaning more toward the south end, many new businesses have made their home here. Additionally, several established businesses have moved to this great location to be part of the grand initiative to bring unity to our community. Jaco Walk is attracting people of all ages and the family oriented environment is one of the main draws.

The large fountain in front of Jaco Walk is a perfect addition for a town based on the water

You can find a little bit of everything here including eclectic restaurants serving gastronomic delights, frozen yogurt, yoga, clothing stores, surf shops and more. There is a park in the back with swings and electric cars for children to ride around in. Free concerts are offered regulary on the weekends. While businesses are still being constructed, Jaco Walk has been open to the public for several months. We recently connected with some business owners to get some feedback. The common denominator is that all share a love for our town and enjoy the family oriented atmosphere at Jaco Walk. Furthermore, community members, tourists, travellers, and families can all convene in a common space that emanates good vibes.

Mateo Spadaro is the co-owner and restaurant manager of the Jaco Walk location of Tsunami Sushi. He brought his same staff with him that worked at the previous store. located in the upstairs of the Il Galeone shopping center. There are some new employees as well.  “Our new location is 40% bigger, the accessibility and ease of parking is wonderful compared to our old location which had zero parking,” he says.

“We see our same customers and a bunch of new faces. Overall, business has gone up thanks to our new location. We have a corner unit with much better street visibility and we stick out now with two huge Tsunami Sushi signs.”
